Dear users and administrators of the BSCW software,

the new version of BSCW 7 Social 7.6.0 are available as of today.

BSCW 7.6 is a new major release of the BSCW 7 series with the following new features

• a new presentation mode for creating and presenting slides using descriptions and folder clipboards. During a presentation it is possible to restrict the view for users so that only the presentation without BSCW controls is visible. The presentation mode provides a new way to create wikis and blogs directly in the context of a folder.
• collaborative editing in description or clipboard
• accessibility for people with disabilities according to the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance 2.0 (BITV 2.0) to allow people with various impairments, such as visual, auditory or cognitive disabilities, to use the BSCW service effectively and independently.
• new themes (dark, light and high contrast theme)
• new toolbar in description or clipboard and option to lock or freeze description and clipboard
• quick access for efficient handling
• quick searches (aka "custom searches") in instant search
• new preview type configurations
• quick templates for fast generation of preview elements
• new account expiry alert email notification

BSCW instances of customers that are supported by OrbiTeam (maintenance or hosting contracts) are automatically updated, so no further action is required.
